Located in the Var, in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region, Southern France, the 7-kilometer-long, 3-kilometer-wide Porquerolles Island is part of the Hyères municipality and of the Port-Cros National Park.
It is accessible by boat (a 15-minute crossing) and can be visited by foot or on bicycle.
The site is at 680 steps from the port and the village, and 260 steps from the beach. The Fondation is located in the Courtade plain, a 10-minute walk from the Port and village.

Come with soft-soled shoes to visit the gardens and plan to remove them to visit the building. The visit is made barefoot.
Strollers must be left at the outdoor cloakroom at the entrance of the Foundation. They are not allowed inside the building.
Dogs are not allowed.
The Fondation Carmignac is located on a protected site, rich of various rare and fragile plant species. We ask our visitors to comply with the Port-Cros National Park’s regulations and in particular the prohibition of smoking, littering, picnicking and picking plants.
