Rituels promenade, natural Dream Machines and concert experience in presence of the Dream Machine

With her velvet voice, author, composer, performer and radio producer Barbara Carlotti has been spreading her magnetic waves for the past fifteen years. English-style pop, finely crafted French songs and a kaleidoscopic career: this dandy woman, one of the most beautiful mysteries of French pop, performs at the crossroads of arts and culture.

With the Dream Machine, she probes the realm of dreams, exploring through different artistic and scientific techniques this mental activity, which takes place during sleep and escapes our will.

In Porquerolles, after a short conference on the Dream Machine system, initiated by Brion Gysin and Yann Sommerville in the 1960s, she will launch daily artistic rituals to experience the waking dream through poetic and musical walks. In this way, she will offer the curious public the opportunity to observe the natural Dream Machines offered by the Foundation’s immediate environment: the island’s sound, light and sensations will be the first elements of the game.

Every evening, from Wednesday to Saturday, Barbara Carlotti, accompanied by her musicians, will perform a ritual concert around a giant Dream Machine for 20 people, a unique 30-minute moment “Inside the Dream Machine”, inspired by the island of Porquerolles, where music, song, texts and lights will give birth to new visions.

A concert experience, a dream and meditation ritual dedicated to the island of Porquerolles.

This performance is part of Des marches, démarches, a cultural event on the scale of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region and coordinated by the Frac Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur.
