- Carmignac Photojournalism Award – 10 Years of Reportage

The Fondation Carmignac is pleased to present Carmignac Photojournalism Award: 10 Years of Reportage, on view from July 4 to November 1, 2020 at the Villa Carmignac on the Island of Porquerolles.
The exceptional display of more than 170 photographs showcases ten years of photo reports, spotlighting human rights violations and environmental issues, in different regions of the world.
This retrospective is also a tribute to the courage and independence of the photojournalists who, through their own unique perspectives, have witnessed and shared the irreversible upheavals that the planet is going through.
Subjects
On the ground floor of the foundation’s spaces, the first eight projects are presented as a thematic journey through the regions explored by the Award.
- States of War. Lashkars (Pashtunistan) by Massimo Berruti, Gaza: the Book of Destruction by Kai Wiedenhöfer.
- Modern slavery. The Trap: Slavery and Trafficking in Women in Nepal by Lizzie Sadin and Libya: Human Trafficking Hub by Narciso Contreras.
- Oppression and Freedom of Speech. Spasibo by Davide Monteleone (Chechnya) and Zimbabwe: Your wounds will be named silence by Robin Hammond, Blank pages of an Iranian photo album by Newsha Tavakolian.
- New Far West. Arctic: New Frontier by Yuri Kozyrev and Kadir van Lohuizen, Amazônia by Tommaso Protti, French Guiana, Christophe Gin.
In the upstairs exhibition spaces, two reports dedicated to climate change and its human consequences will be on display.
